To this day, she is revered as the queen of country music.Patsy's voice is the epitome of torch singing--emotional, yet distant enough from the flame not to get burned. Her superb voice, with its catches, chokes and soaring notes, changed the course of country and western music, and defined the new direction of female country artists.Even non-coutry fans appreciate such legendary performances as the seamless, upbeat "Walking After Midnight"; the ultra-torchy "Sweet Dreams"; the swaying ballad "She's Got You"; Willie Nelson's bluesy "Crazy"; the bouncy "Back In Baby's Arms"; the definitive "I Fall To Pieces"...and the hits just go on and on and on.Ironically, Cline, who considered herself a cowgirl, hated her successful pop tunes. She single-handedly removed the "western" from country & western, but that was her favorite music. She would rather be yodeling and singing mountain-style. Fortunately, she listened to her advisers and left us with a legacy of country-pop classics.

One of the best of all time.

Created: 27/12/10
As old as I am, Patsy Cline was still before my time, but having heard her songs from time to time on the radio, she is one of the best country singers of all time. They did it all back then with simple, uncomplicated music... just some good piano, slide guitar and bass. The songs are very melodic with tear-jerking story lines. I can listen to the Best of Patsy Cline CD over and over again.

A Great Patsy Cline CD with Top Music Hits

Created: 05/06/10
I bought the Patsy cline CD and the day it was delivered I opened it immediately. I wanted to listen to it right then. I believe she had a great voice, very smooth and even though she sang these songs a long time ago, this CD sounds very clear and sharp. I felt the price was excellent. I am glad to have this product in my collection. I bought it because I knew I would enjoy listening to it over and over. If this is your kind of music then I recommend that you buy a CD like this with the 12 Greatest Hits by Patsy Cline.
