Quake II (Nintendo 64, 1999)

Pros:
-Faithful recreation of the quake 2 engine on the n64
-Engaging, hilarious and entertaining multiplayer
-Good graphics for a port
-Excellent options and control features; you can rebind every single n64 controller button

Cons:
-They failed to include quake2's rocking and kick arse soundtrack and replaced it with something reminisce of Quake1
-They scrubbed the original Quake 2 campaign and created their own, which is ok but some levels are incredibly simplistic with long stretches of zero fighting, this coupled with the quiet music makes parts boring.
-anti-climatic ending; second to last level is confusing as it is asinine

Overall:
A very well thought out port of Quake 2 to the Nintendo 64. It's strong suit is the multiplayer side; with 4 game modes (including capture the flag) to play. Play the campaign if you're bored or take turns with friends playing it.
The campaign alone is what keeps this game from getting an 'excellent' rating because unfortunately it can't stand on its own with out the multiplayer. Buy this if you love Quake 2 (Like I do) and you really enjoy sitting down with 4 friends and fragging each other all night long.

Great classic shooter and it makes good use of the N64 expansion pack. Had this title long time ago sold it in haste and got the itch to play it once again. Quake along with Doom is classic FPS at its best.

This game is great. Solid FPS action with cool weapons and enemies and puzzles etc...

I would recommend this to anyone who likes FPS games and has a N64. I had fun playing it!

This one blows the original out of the water. (at least on the N64 platform) Graphics are better and controls are identical to Turok. A little bit on the easy side but definitely a fun time. Worth buyin.

I like pretty much everything about this game pretty sweet weapons. Pretty cool game if you like first peron shooters from the era like I do.
