Product Information
Make a wise investment in the 1851 Braided Hair Cent copper coin which is also a priceless souvenir to possess. Designed by Christian Gobrecht, this Braided Hair Cent is struck in pure copper. Plus, on its obverse side, this Braided Hair Cent bears an image of Liberty wearing a coronet, surrounded by 13 stars representing the original colonies. What’s more, on its reverse, the 1851 Braided Hair Cent bears a continuous wreath surrounding the denomination with the official name of the country inscribed around the border.

I bought the 1851 Braided Hair Cent for the absolute value of coins of that era. This coin had no dings or scratches which is rare for the large cents. Most large cents are scratched heavily and or pitted.

A GREAT PEICE OF AMERICAN HISTORY

Another great piece of American History. Just think of the things this coin could have been involved in, what items it may have purchased. A penny went a whole lot further back in the late 1800's.
