) I bought this coin because it is 104 years old, because it's silver & because someone took the trouble to make sure it shines. The worn condition was evident from the photos. Still the neat, clean outlines of what had once been a classically styled coin were very clear. I would have wished for a Barber half dollar with all its features in a clean, like-new state, but for the very reasonable price, I could not pass up this well-used piece of our past. It's not a showpiece but it's historic, it's clearly visible & can only grow in value as silver grows in value.
