|The 1945 US Washington quarter is made of 90 percent silver and 10 percent copper, qualifying it as a silver coin. This 1945 25-cent piece was minted in all three US Mint locations, consisting of Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Denver. The obverse, or front, side of this US Washington quarter features the face of George Washington facing to the left. Also on the obverse side of this coin is the word "Liberty," the phrase "In God We Trust," and the year 1945. The reverse side of this coin depicts an eagle holding olive branches as it is about to take flight. Also on the reverse side of this silver coin is the wording "United States of America," and the words "quarter dollar." If a mint mark is present, it will be on the reverse side of this 1945 25-cent piece. The weight of this US Washington quarter is 6.25 g (0.18 oz), and it has a diameter of 24.3 mm (0.96 inches).|
