|Add the 1998 Washington Quarter to your enviable collection of the formerly used currencies and increase its value. This silver coin was released as a tribute to commemorate the bicentennial birth anniversary of America’s first president George Washington. A side profile picture of George Washington is engraved on one side of this Washington Quarter while the Presidential coat of arms is depicted on the other side. Weighing just 6.25 gm, the 1998 Washington Quarter contains 90 percent silver and 10 percent copper. Designed by New York sculptor John Flanagan, this Washington Quarter was coined at different mints in Philadelphia (no mint mark) and in Denver (D). With a reeded edge, this silver coin not only prevents counterfeiting but also helps in its identification with just a touch. This Washington Quarter was a replacement for the standing liberty quarter in 1932.|
