Every one should have the 2009 US/BNA postage stamp catalog as a reference guide. It is easy to use and has a lot of useful information in identifying older stamps. The catalog has a fantastic UNITED STATES STAMP INDENTIFIER. It covers 5 pages. It is an excellent source of information. Using this catalog along with the Scott manuals is a great way to know and learn about United States stamps.

I enjoy using this catalog. It is easy to use, and easy to find any stamp you might want to look up. When shopping E-Bay for stamps to purchase, I keep the catalog right next to the computor. Doing this allows me to look up any stamp to determine its value. I have not used any other book or catalog because I am satisfied with this one.

Book shows stamp and gives history of same; collections grouped together by date. Very helpful; fun for history lovers.
