Album Notes
Pablo Cruise: David Jenkins (vocals, guitar); Cory Lerios (vocals, keyboards); Bud Cockrell, Bruce Day (vocals, bass); John Pierce (bass); Stephen Price (drums, percussion).Additional personnel: Angelo Rossi (guitar); Mike Porcaro (bass).Producers: Bill Schnee, Michael James Jackson, Pablo Cruise, Jim Gaines.Includes liner notes by Sal Nunziato. All tracks have been digitally remastered.Personnel: David Jenkins (vocals, guitar); Cory Lerios (vocals, keyboards); Bud Cockrell, Bruce Day (vocals); Angelo Rossi (guitar); Stephen Price (drums, percussion).Photographer: Norman Seeff. Two of Pablo Cruise's charting singles -- "Never Had a Love," which went to 87 in 1978 and "Slip Away," which peaked at 75 in 1981 -- are missing from their edition of Universal's 20th Century Masters: The Millennium Collection series. That means their remaining seven hits -- including all their biggest, like "Whatcha Gonna Do?," "Love Will Find a Way," "Cool Love," "I Want You Tonight," and "Don't Want to Live Without It" -- are here, along with five album selections. So, it may be possible to quibble that this isn't really definitive, solely on the basis of those missing hits, but for many listeners, this is as close to definitive as they need, since it really does contain Pablo Cruise's windswept, sun-mellowed blend of melodic Californian soft rock and lite jazz fusion. This music may recall the times -- that netherworld of the late Carter administration and pre-Reagan assassination attempt -- but its best moments (those aforementioned singles) are soft classics of the era, and this is one of the best ways to hear them. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine

Classic rock that stands the test of time.

As I work on my collection of 'Best Of' and 'Greatest Hits' albums of the bands and artists I enjoyed in the '70s and '80s, I looked for a collection that had all the great songs I remembered from Pablo Cruise. 'Love Will Find A Way' - check. 'Place In The Sun' - check. 'Whatcha Gonna Do (When She Says Goodbye?)' - check. 'Don't Want To Live Without It' - check. Right down the list is song after song that measures up to expectations, The Millenium Collection delivers classic hit after hit.

If you're looking for a quality collection of '70s hits by some great rockers, look no further.

Pablo Cruise Rules

If you want to reminisce about the 70's and were a Pablo Cruise fan, this is "The Album" for you! Sound is clear and strong. Music is just the perfect blend of songs that were popular and some unknown that are awesome to discover.
The only thing I could say was missing was the song titled, "Running" but it wasn't a big hit, so it's understandable why it wasn't in the selection.

All I can say is this album is awesome and well worth the money.

Enjoy!

All of my Pablo Cruise favorites on one CD, it doesn't get better than that

I used to enjoy Pablo Cruise when I was a teen, liked the popular songs that made it to radio, but there was one that didn't get a lot of play time called "Atlanta June". When I saw it on the song list, I HAD to buy this CD. When you consider all the great music that's available on these "Best Of" CD's and the usually low cost, it makes a terrific value for the fan/collector, not to mention how listening to the music of an earlier time can transport you right back there.

THis band was one of my favs in the 80's, and I never purchased any of their cd's. I have now and the sound is still pretty cool among all the rap, hip-hop and rock we hear today.
