28 Days Later Is Fantastic!
Created: 03/01/09
I enjoyed greatly both 28 Weeks Later and the first one, 28 Days Later. Though not actual zombies many of us in the zombie genre enjoyed it. We call them the infected or sprinters. They are very similar to zombies, but they run. The dead are slow and typically called Shamblers. A great film and I'm happy to see it in any format.

Thank Danny Boyle for all the good movies!

Danny Boyle has really put out some great movies. Danny is not just known for horror. He also recently did a film called "Sunshine" (a sci-fi thriller) which won an award even.
Wow, what's the body count on this one? 100 million, I think.
British animal rights activists break into a science laboratory to free chimpanzees being used for medical research. Disregarding the warnings of the local scientist, the activists free the Rage virus subjects, which attack and infect the activists and scientist and later everyone else. A month later, a bicyclist, Jim (Cillian Murphy) awakens from a coma in a deserted hospital. As he leaves the hospital, he discovers London is completely deserted and rife with signs of catastrophe. Jim is chased through the streets by infected people before being rescued by two survivors, Selena (Naomie Harris) and Mark (Noah Huntley), who rush him to their hideout in the London Underground. They reveal that while Jim was comatose, the virus spread uncontrollably among the populace, turning most people into vicious monsters ("the Infected") and resulting in a societal collapse.
I'm going to give this a 5/5 for originality and follow through.

28 Days of what?
Created: 18/02/10
I got this movie because I recently got into Cillian Murphy. I will admit this movie has its high points, and I'm not just talking about the part where Jim (Cillian Murphy) is naked. The plot to this movie is rather sketchy and the ending could have used some work and a little closure.
The story starts off will a bunch of animal rights activists breaking into a chimp testing lab. The chimps are infected with "rage" a type of infection that is fast acting and turns humans into blood spewing zombies. (Ugh..) Anyway or should I say 28 days later Jim wakes up in the hospital, he walks around, and there is no one in sight. He makes his way to a church only to be found by the "infected". He runs and is saved by two of the uninfected, Selena (Naomie Harris) and Mark (Noah Huntley). Jim wants to find his parents, they go to his house, his parents are dead, they get attacked, and Selena kills Mark before he becomes infected, blah, blah, blah...
Selena and Jim make it back to a city; they meet Frank (Brendan Gleeson) and his daughter Hannah (Megan Burns). All four leave the hideout to go to a military "sanctuary". They make it but Frank becomes infected and is killed. At the army base Jim, Selena, and Hannah find out the little group of military men only want women, they try to kill Jim, he escapes, and slowly the officers are killed off by Jim, Selena, Hannah, and the infected. Our three Heroes survive, go out to the country side, and are presumably rescued.
Overall this movie has those make-you-want-to-jump-out-of-your-chair moments but other than that it's so-so. I wouldn't spend more than five bucks on this movie if I were you.

28 Days Later!

28 Days Later is by far one of my favorite Thriller/Horror movies I've seen. It's packed full of suspense, just the right amount of gore, great acting, and just an all out perfectly constructed movie. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys horror, thriller, and zombie movies!

Amazing thrill ride

This movie has one of the best plots available. Definitely an excellent thriller with twists and turns along the way...and plenty of intense zombie action. No more slow stumbling zombies...these ones are fast and vicious.
