Aventis (DVD, 2004)

This film, which won a Goya for Best Actor, is based around a legendary brand of storytelling, "aventis," that blends fact, fiction, and myth to tell its sprawling tales. Decades after the Civil War in Barcelona, a doctor and a nurse stumble across a body that played a vital role in their childhood "aventis." As flashbacks reveal the story that may or may not have happened, the modern couple uncovers a whole new series of surprises.
