A Charlie Brown Christmas by Vince Guaraldi (CD, Nov-2000, Fantasy)

This is the best Christmas music ever. Brings back memories of childhood but also sophisticated and mature becuase it is by Vince Guaraldi a very fine jazz pianist. The CD has great Christmas classics like hark the herald angels and drummer boy and more. Two thumbs up!

This CD is one of the best music compilations ever made. The music is simply wonderful and everyone who hears it enjoys it. I listen to this CD throughout the year and perhaps more than any other CD I own. Vince Guaraldi is incredibly talented and this is a great sample of his work. I couldn't recommend A Charlie Brown Christmas enough!

Hi, what can you say about this all time favorite Christmas soundtrack by The Vince Guaraldi Trio from the TV Special "A Charlie Brown Christmas". If you like the music from the video, (and who wouldn't the Trio is right on, tight and just so relaxed) then you will like this audio CD it's the remastered version from 1988 which, from the research that I had done, was supposed to be the better or best of the remastered versions available (this version was also reissued in 2000 on Fantasy). I have heard 2 remastered versions, this one and one from 2006 and, to my ears only, have found the earlier 1988 version to have somewhat better fidelity, the highs sound cleaner, the midrange seems fuller and the acoustic bass comes through with lots of bottom. Again this is only my opinion but having the choice, if this copy was ever lost or damaged, I'd replace it with another from the 1988 remaster. Thanks and Enjoy!!

Vince Guaraldi playing the Charlie Brown Jazz music just puts me in the holiday mood. This is my favorite style of Jazz music that makes me want to turn the lights down, sip on wine, and enjoy a great cigar. LOVE IT!!!

This is classic Guaraldi. Meandering piano and solid jazz rhythms set the tone for a disc that takes me back to my childhood. A time when the most important thing on a boys mind was when "Merry Christmas Charlie Brown" was coming on and what Santa was bringing me.
This is a must have for any jazz lover or anyone who wants to be taken back to a simpler time. Purchased from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kennebec Valley for eight dollars with free shipping, this is a no brainer.
