A follow-up was released one year later, MOB RULES, which follows in the same mega-decibel approach as its predecessor. While it is still a vast improvement over Sabbath's final two albums with Ozzy Osbourne (1976's TECHNICAL ECSTASY and 1978's NEVER SAY DIE), it doesn't exactly match the inspired performances and top compositions featured on HEAVEN AND HELL.The opening track, "Turn Up the Night," kicks off the album with a jolt of electricity, while other hard rocking highlights include the mid-paced "Voodoo" and the raging title track--the latter would be featured on the soundtrack to the cult animated movie, HEAVY METAL. Another standout was the near eight-minute epic "The Sign of the Southern Cross," which starts as a gentle acoustic composition, before transforming into a classic slice of plodding Sabbath metal. Although Dio had been a major factor in returning Sabbath back from the dead, he would leave the group under less than amicable circumstances after the release of the 1982 live album LIVE EVIL.

BLACK SABBATH RULES!

Created: 09/08/08
This is a tremendous album. I love the illustrated of the album cover, pretty cool. The combination of powerful vocals from Ronnie, thunderous bass and drums from Geezer and Vinnie, guitar riffing-heavy-melodic amazing from Toni, this is what true about heavy metal music. "Country Girl", "T. S. o. Southern Cross" , "Fallin of t. edge o. t. world" have very excellent heavy riff sound. If you want the best Metal, this album is for you...SABS RULES!!!

Angry Mob

On this; the second effort with Ronnie James Dio on vocals. There is a new addition to the band; Mr Vinny Appice. Vinny stepped in to replace the departing Bill Ward, and does a fantastic job on the skins. If you are a fan of Ronnies' vocals; then this is a good addition to your collection. The drumming on this disc is excellent; Vinny is a superb drummer. I really like this disc; but I feel that "Heaven And Hell" is better. Songs like "mob rules", "voodoo" , "turn up the night" , are all very good tunes. If you are a Sabbath fan; or a fan of Ronnies', then you have to get this disc. Great vocals and hard rocking music combined; the perfect combination.

Dio At His Best

Created: 15/05/09
As the new lead singer of Black Sabbath, James Ronnie Dio had some big shoes to fill as he was replacing the eccentric Ozzy Osbourne. Not only did he fill those shoes, he did twice fold. In the realm of singing, Dio takes that crown from Ozzy. This record showcases his miraculous talent before he left to pursue his successful solo career. This is a must have metal CD and is a must have for any die-hard metal fan, along with Heaven and Hell.

Hard to Find Tunes

Created: 05/03/07
I purchased this cd a few weeks ago on e-bay due to its difficult to find quality. Local vendors were not able to acquire it with any certainty. Some stated that they could not guarantee finding it,while others stated if found, it would be pricey and would probably take a long time to receive it.
On ebay,I got it at a great price and in excellent condition. The one drawback was that it took nearly 2 weeks to get it,but it was understandable, since it came from Russia. I kept the package as a keepsake due to its foreign postage markings.
I would recommend if you are looking for that rare or hard to find music favorite, get it on ebay.
