The live recordings on this CD were culled from performances at the 1991 Smithsonian Folklife Festival which commemorated Robert Johnson.This live program featured some of the late legend's old partners - Honeyboy Edwards, Johnny Shines, Robert Jr. Lockwood -- and some of his contemporary successors, such as Lionel Pitchford, Cephas And Wiggins paying heartfelt tribute. ~ Bill Dahl
