Come on, if you need a review...

... to tell you whether or not you should buy this DVD, then it's probably not enough. "Felicity" is a silly TV show that was on cable from 1998 to 2002 (or somewhere in that era). This happened to coincide with my wife's Freshman through Senior years in college.
It's about a girl named Felicity (...probably didn't need to write that part...) who makes some new friends at school in New York city. She makes out with a bunch of guys, sleeps with at least one [we're just talking Freshman year here], and fights with her parents a lot. Between her job, her classes, her roommate, her friends, and life in the big city, there is plenty of room for drama of every kind. The two (primary) love interests are Ben and Noel. I think Ben is better and blonder, but my wife likes Noel for some reason. I think that later seasons vindicate me, as Noel goes completely off the deep end (Senior Year, perhaps? Don't forget about "Leon"). Ben is dangerous and mysterious and sleeps with a married woman. Also, he's on the swim team, so the ladies get a lot of nice nut-hugger scenes.
If you're unfamiliar with the show, then you're probably not going to try it out by buying six DVDs worth of episodes. But if you already like the show, you might as well start here. We had to buy the entire Season 1 twice because we lost the last disc. So if anyone out there wants or needs discs 1-5, we might be able to strike a deal.

Felicity Season 1
Created: 01/11/06
I just caught part of the fourth season when Felicity aired on TV. I decided I wanted to see it from the beginning. Season I begins with Felicity at her high school graduation. A seemingly uneventful moment, following the graduation, changes Felicity's long-time commitment to attend college in her home state. Instead, she announces to her family she will be traveling to New York to attend school. Once at New York University, Felicity faces college situations, both expected and very unexpected. The viewer discovers that Felicity's insecurities and limited knowledge in dealing with people and social issues is backed by a determination to grow with her world. This is a very endearing series and worth watching from the very beginning episode.

Felicity - Season 1 (2002, DVD)
Created: 16/07/06
This is the first season in a great series by J.J. Abrams (the creator of Alias) called Felicity. It follows a girl named Felicity through her freshmen year at college after she follows her high school crush across the country to school in New York. It is fun loads of fun to watch and does an amazing job of examining the ups, downs, and outright funny things that can happen as a person starts out in the sometimes scary world of college. I would recommend it to anyone and have throughly enjoyed this TV show! I bought this DVD set after borrowing it from a friend, because I loved it so much I had to have it for my own. I am so happy with my decision!

Not what I remembered
Created: 26/05/10
I remember loving this series when I was in college, 6 years ago. I was really excited about getting it in the mail the other day, but was a little dissapointed with the first few episodes. They just seemed to move slowly and the actions of the characters seemed a little unrealistic. I don't know many college freshmen who are out of their element who are as bold as Felicity.
I am looking forward to re-aquainting myself with the series, though, because it was special to me at one point in my life.
The DVDs are packaged well. I own several other TV series on DVD and don't care for how some of them are boxed. "Felicity" has 3 separate, hard plastic cases with two DVDs in each case. It makes the DVDs easy to access--no worries of dropping the DVD while juggling the box, case and DVD.

The beginning of one of my favorite T.V. shows ever!
Created: 07/05/08
I decided to buy Season 1 of Felicity because I didn't start watching on T.V. until Season 3 and I wanted to find out what lead up to what I had seen on one of my favorite shows. This DVD of Season 1 did not disappoint-I truly enjoyed watching Felicity get started in college and see how she was before she became the young woman I had grown to love in her Junior and Senior years! I've already won Seasons 2, 3 and 4 on Ebay and await their arrival as I write this review-can't wait!!!
