WWE WrestleMania 21 (Xbox, 2005)

I see several of the reviews claim this game is excellent...I also see one person claims it's terrible, but provides no supporting remarks. So who do you believe? Well I happen to have owned this game at one point and I can give you the inside scoop. Overall, it's terrible...one of the most poorly produced games of all time. Any video game site will confirm the mediocrity this game truly is. Let me start off by what is good, because this won't last long.

The Good: The graphics - that's it. The game has remarkable graphics, but we all know that good graphics do not make a good game. In fact, the graphics aren't really that much better than Smackdown vs Raw 2.

The Bad: The controls are awkward and compared to most games, are limited and difficult. The sound is terrible, because it skips a lot. The loading times are painstakingly long...VERY LONG. The replay at the end of a match skips in the video and audio, it slows down - it just doesn't come off smooth. In the ring, the action will sometimes slow down - something the older systems used to due back when it couldn't handle the amount of action on the screen. The roster is mediocre. Create a wrestler is mediocre. There's no elimination chamber. The storyline is just boring and drags on. Going back to how weakthe actual wrestling is in this game, often your character will miss a dropkick, for example, but the opponent will still get hit OR you will hit him, and he doesn't take it OR in mid move, you and your opponent will suddenly be standing again. Basically, this game is a big pile of garbage - much like Showdown: Legends of Wrestling (or any Legends of Wrestling game, really). It's all looks and no content. In fact, when it was first released, the online content didn't work so everyone had to download a patch or get a new game. It took them forever to resolve this problem.

Compared to Smackdown vs Raw 2, this game is junk. I wouldn't waste my time breaking the thing and flushing it down the toilet - THAT'S how bad it is. It really makes me yearn for the glory days of N64 and No Mercy. Moral the story is: Stay away from WM21!

well i got it for my son, and let me say if your child is into wrestling then this is the game for you! it has all the latest wrestlers and all the old one's.My son plays it at least once every day he loves wrestling and i have got him most all of the games he likes this one best you can creat your own wrestler as all other gamesyou wrestle to the belt,its amount of moves are more then most wrestling games, oh did i mention online xbox live if you have the xbox its even better he plays his friend from school live via the xbox so its just another thing to it.one sure way to see if you would like it is to try it or rent it i did and its all i heard for a few days and i broke down and got it! so what have you got to lose but a few dollars, the price for this game is worth its weight!!

i like the new additions to creating your character, but needs more story lines as well as some of the characteristics that RAW2 had. personally they need to come out with a game that combines RAW v.s. SD 2006, RAW2, & WM21. Now i too am a big wrestling fan and i was at WM21. I own almost all wwe/wwf games that there are for PS2. And this game definitely is a good addition to the collection.

I bought this for my 6 year old grandson who receive an xbox for christmas. He is all into wrestling and since he got such an excellant report card, I decided I would award him for it. He is not only thrilled with this game or that I purchased this for him, but it was just as exciting for him, for me to do it with him online. He lives in Bakersfield and everytime we spoke he would ask "Grandma has it arrived". It was so much fun to get it. I am grateful that my first experience buying something went well. Thanks to the person I bought it from as well.

the game it self is good to play but the one i got wont play it stops ever time i try to play if it would play io think it would be a good game i dont care about if two players work but its the way you want to go get the belt.wont play
