However, while the group's lush balladry, sugar-sweet vocal harmonies, and carefully constructed pop-R&B sound may bear something in common with the aforementioned cash-coining heart-throbs, it's not the whole story.The opening cut "Ooh It's Kinda Crazy," for example, harks back to the now endearing-sounding white pop-soul of '80s acts like George Michael. Meanwhile, on "I Don't Need Anyone," the band isn't afraid to back their silky vocals with a decidedly Motown-like beat and zesty guitar, coming on like a made-for-teens Katrina & The Waves. NO ONE DOES IT BETTER is certainly capable of finding favor with fans of the aforementioned teen sensations, but it has a wider appeal, too.
