    There are many games on the market promising something new and improved to help make the playing experience something more than a simple game, but MISSING: GAME OF THE YEAR EDITION by Adventure Games for the PC succeeds where many others have failed. They accomplish this by using a variety of different methods to involve players in the game on a deeper level. The game starts out with the disappearance of Jack Lorski and Karen Gijman, and players find out that the game isn't actually supposed to be considered a game, but rather a disc that was leaked to the public so that they might discover the secrets hidden within. Now, when players are completing the puzzles and working their way through the game they will also be able to access the web and participating as if they were actually working on the case. They will receive emails and a specially designed toolbar to help them navigate the Internet and find the answers. The graphics are excellent, and the cut scenes serve to draw the plot along and reveal different details the closer that players get to solving the couple's disappearance. These special features and interactive gaming make MISSING: GAME OF THE YEAR EDITION more than a simple puzzle based action game as it successfully propels players through the mystery by making them active participants. All of these factors combine together to make MISSING: GAME OF THE YEAR EDITION a unique gaming experience that players everywhere will not soon forget.
