Bomberman Tournament , Game Boy Advance GBA SP DS DSL
Created: 16/06/10
Tournament was generally lauded for its simple, approachable gameplay. In order to score (in multiplayer mode), players must lay time bombs in order to trap and obliterate their opponents, with the last player alive becoming the winner. As the player defeats enemies and clear away obstacles, a variety of power-up tiles appear. Randomly selected from a pool of 10 different items, these tiles have a number of effects, such as increasing bombs' blast radius, increasing the player's bomb capacity, or even reversing a player's controls.
Unlike other Bomberman games, Tournament's single-player quest mode takes a role-playing game based form with influences of Zelda and Pokémon reminiscent enhancements, & heavily borrows from the Neutopia series, also made by Hudson Soft.
The majority of the action takes place in 2D from top-down vantage point, while Karabon battles and select minigames are presented in a side view. Each of the game's six different environments possesses only a minimum of rectangular features and is detailed with all sorts of wacky nuances, such as trees that topple over or an earthen giant collapsed in the middle of a road.

Nothing special, just plain old Bomberman on Game Boy
Created: 26/12/06
This is as average a game as they come. Sure its addictive, all bomberman games are! But this one is put together in a nice handheld format that everyone can enjoy in the dark before they go to sleep...because this game will help put you to sleep! If you have ever played Bomberman, you will know the concept:
Place bombs, run around to avoid your own bombs being blown up, try to blow up your opponents, rinse & repeat. Don't get me wrong, Bomberman is a great game, but there is nothing original to offer. In order to play with others on your Game Boy Advance or SP, each player needs to have a copy of this game. Why not just pull out the Gamecube or even Super Nintendo for this one? Gamecube offers 4 controller ports and SNES even has a 2-way adapter. The best versions of Bomberman are still on those games, but if you just can't get enough of Bomberman and want a game to kill some time, this is a good pick. You will get plenty of replay value out of it, but don't expect the computer to be too challenging, even on the hardest mode!

This is a pretty fun game! Perfect on the long or short waits. It can be a bit challenging (I played another version of bomberman) but I eventually got used to it.
