Also, when I was growing up, there were a couple of these in my family's possession; one of them belonged to my sister, and I don't know what happened to the other one. Maybe my brother got it. Also, the date is the year my Dad was born, so for me, it sort of commemorates his birthday too. Overall, I love gold coins (who doesn't?) and its fortunate that I can own a small few for myself.

This is an awesome piece of Americana, with the heritage of the true Native of America. The eye appeal is a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10. The majestic symbol on the back, the American Bald Eagle adds to the appeal of this coin. I bought this item for it's shear beauty; not just it's face value. There is nothing that I dislike about this beautiful coin. There is no comparison to this gold coin, both aesthetically and value. I would recommend this piece of history over all of the gold coins available on today's market.

I bought this beautiful old "Indian Head" gold coin for my grandson's 9th birthday, at slightly over the cost of gold content. He can't break it or outgrow it...he will remember me everytime he looks at it & hopefully pass it on to a child of his own.

) nice quality coin, gold his a nice hedge against inflation. got it at nice price. why not invest! one good thing also you could use it for melt value if it came to worse case scenario. i wouldn't recommend that it too nice of a coin.

Totally satisfied. Half eagles are a great way to get into owning gold. Not too big and not too little. Everyone should own at least some gold/silver. Stocks and bonds are great but really worthless when it comes down to it. Get educated before you start to buy on eBay. The more you know the better "If you do not hold it, you do not own it"
