Beats everything on US TV!

Wire in the Blood is so intelligently produced -- from the haunting and unforgettable theme music, to the refreshing camera techniques, to the artistic display of credits. And, finally, the stellar acting and well developed plots that dwarf our millions of blue-lit laboratory-ridden crime shows.
Robson Green may not be a household name in the US -- our loss and the best kept secret of those few who have had the pleasure to watch him. Truly, he is a brilliant and lyric actor. He and Hermione Norris have a natural and eccentric chemistry--and delightfully, there is nothing forced about it.
One last endearing and subtle attribute of the series is that it takes place in Bradfield, England, complete with non-cosmopolitan accents, backdrops and characters.
This is a series for those who want to experience the pleasure of thought and wonder. I frequently fall asleep before the end of US crime shows; immodestly, I think my brain is a precise and well-calibrated barometer of onset inertia. Never once has it clocked in diminished brain activity with Wire in the Blood--the series is far too engrossing.
