Stargate SG-1 - Season 2 Giftset (DVD, 2009, 5-Disc Set, Repackaged)

This is a great television series. Even though season two is one of the earliest seasons (obviously) there really is no difference in the quality of fimmaking or special effects. If you are a big fan of stargate this is a good way to catch up on past episodess you may ahve misse. Even if you have never seen the show but think you might like it thi is a good way to start. By buying the whole season you get around 16 hours of entertainment for only a ittle more money then most new movies cost.

this series was one of the greatest scifi shows to ever be on tv it lasted an amazing 10 seasons which is longer than any one star trek series lasted and I love star trek but it couldn't stay as fresh as this show did for as long as it did. even 12 years after the first season aired it still doesn't seem as dated as most other scifi shows do and the special effects still seem as good now as they did then. if you are looking for an epic series to add to your collection I highly recomend this show.

I bought Season 2 of Stargate SG-1 after just having bought Season 1 and getting seriously hooked. Not wanting to pay a high price at a retail store, I took a chance and gave eBay a try. The auction was fun, exciting, and my purchase couldn't have been better. Not only did I not pay a lot for it, but it was in excellent condition. The giftset not only has 5 discs of the usual Stargate SG-1 action, but the extras on the discs, the "Secret Files of the SGC", were fun to watch and gave a lot of insight to episode creation as well as actors' and writers' thoughts. My only dislike is not being able to have the season 2 cliffhanger resolved on this set! Oh, well. Good thing I just bought season 3! I was very impressed and recommend this to anyone trying to fill the gaps in their Stargate SG-1 collection.

I love Stargate. Season 1 is amazing and season two is likely to be better. If you watch any sci-fi tv series you can't possibly critique with such disdain, and such high standards. You got to enjoy the idea of the show that you are watching. Stargate SG-1 fullfills the need to think with great imaginative perspective and it has a little hint of reality in every episode. I would recomend buying it.

I love Stargate SG-1. I used to watch it when it was on TV but was not able to keep up on it so I decided to buy the series. I really enjoy the slim design as it does not take up as much space. Even my 6 year old is addicted to it.
