Movie synopsis

Set in Neptune, California, VERONICA MARS is a popular TV drama that follows the fortunes of a 17-year-old trainee private investigator. Neptune is full of powerfully rich residents, many of whom believe they are above the law. Fortunately Veronica, who was propelled into a life of crime-fighting after her best friend, Lilly, was murdered, is on hand to ensure that justice is served, much to the annoyance of the Neptunians who find themselves frequently foiled in their devious plans. Veronica's father is the former sheriff of Neptune, who found himself removed from office after alleging that Lilly's father was responsible for his daughter's death. Now, together with Veronica, he runs a local private investigation business, while also ensuring that his daughter doesn't neglect her high school duties. A long-standing subplot that runs through the show is Veronica's attempts to clear her father's name, which only leads to further evidence of enormous corruption and deceit in a neighborhood that seems littered with criminal activity. The entire second season of the show is collected here.

Entertainment Weekly - Brian M. Raftery (08/25/2006)

5 stars out of 5 -- "Bell is unbelievably cute as the titular Veronica, and holds it all together with style, but the real star is the snappy, witty, intricate writing."

"[I]ts sophomore effort still packs a punch....VERONICA MARS is always worthy of further investigation."

Veronica Mars: 2nd Season

Created: 06/02/07
This series is an excellent television show for anyone interested in a little mystery mixed with comedy. The lead character, Veronica, looks like just another dumb blonde. However, she is witty, sassy, and someone that you can really relate to. She solves crime and other school misgivings by the help of her private eye father and sometimes just by a process of elimination and finding out where people were during the crime. This series goes really in-depth with how twisted life can really be, and how people have an alter-ego that they do not present to the world. The show is very complex, and constantly keeps you on the edge of your seat. Every end to an episode makes you want to find out more in the next episode. I absolutely love the show, and it is a fantastic break from watching over-the-top-drama shows like soap operas. I believe that this show is great for those who love an intelligent kind of thrill. I even have my significant other hooked on the show now, who usually only watches comedy. This is a TOP-NOTCH show! Watch the 3rd season on the CW network on Tuesday nights!

Veronica Mars Season 2

Created: 28/09/10
Veronica and her crew of cohorts set out in season two, "The Bus Tragedy". It keeps her character alive and evolving as we finish the adventure and wait until season 3 becomes a need. Dick Casablancas is epic and the Echolls murder wraps up. Veronica stumbles in and out of her two serious relationships with Duncan and Logan. It is a roller coaster of a life at Neptune High for their senior year. As usual Veronica Mars (Kristen Bell) steals your heart as the overly cute and cerebral P.I. that we all would have wished for a prom date. It's fun and entertaining in every 09'er way I can think of. Veronica makes you want more and wish we all were a little more interesting and appealing. She's a catch boys and I can't wait to see who she ends up with.

Veronica Mars ROCKS!!!!!!!!

When this show first started I wasn't all that impressed with it but half way through the second season I caught an episode being replayed late at night so I watched it. I was immediately hooked! The cast is awesome. I look forward to these young actors becoming big stars. Veronica Mars is a high school student with a quirky attitude that i just love! The protrayal of her relationship with her father reminds of my own relationship with my dad. The way that she solves each case just blows me away! I have learned to always expect the unexpected when it come to Veronica Mars.

Veronica Mars season 2

I instantly fell in love with the Veronica Mars series. It's smart, witty, with a modern feel and unpredictable. The characters are funny, mysterious and quirky. The acting is quite good. I use to watch this with my family and couldn't wait for the DVD's. I lent them to a friend who hadn't seen the show and she lost season 2 while moving. I paid over $40 for it the first time and was glad to find it for so low a price.

Veronica Mars

Created: 03/02/08
What a great show. It was a thinking person's Buffy the Vampire Slayer with Veronica Mars as the daughter of an investigator named Keith Mars. Veronica ends up taking on almost more of the cases than her dad, Keith Mars, who is the perfect single dad. Veronica and her dad's witty banter is first rate and a pleasure to watch. All of the plots are believable, with the who-done-it factor almost always being a true surprise. It's not like shows like Law and Order, Cold Case, and CSI where you almost always know who the bad guy is in the first 20 minutes of the show. I am so happy I gave this show a chance. I only wish I had watched it while it was on the air, and other's too, since despite great reviews it was cancelled after the third season.
