Ping Rapture iron review
Created: 17/02/11
I like the Ping Rapture irons because of the craftsmanship, shaft choices, grips, different configurations, and resale value. I have been looking for a set of Ping Raptures for awhile for good price, They simply do not depreciate like other brands. I like they ways they sit on the ground and instill confidence. I like the simple medallions and the quality of the materials used. I also like the Ping support if you have a question. If you call or email Support and give them the serial numbers, they can tell you all the characteristics of the clubs and they will respond within 2 days usually.
Ping craftsmanship has always been second to none since way back with the Karsten and Ping Eye 2 iron sets in the 70's and 80's. The swing weights have always been consistent and the lie/loft specs right on the money. I always put my irons in my Mitchell lie/loft and make the measurements. Ping specs are always accurate. The assembly and groves are perfect every time. The Raptures are exceptional the way they incorporated the thin titanium face into a club that is easy to clean, not like some others with dinky plastic.
I like the different shaft choices like the high quality and consistent graphite shafts an their steel shaft choices.
Ping always use high quality grips in the Golf Pride Tour Velvet and other selections.
Ping uses the color codes to fit different golfer swing and body characteristics which is big plus.
If you take care of the Pings, they always bring top dollar and seem to not lose value after a couple years of use. Old Ping Eye 2's still bring $200 to $300, that says a lot about the craftsmanship to endure of time.
I am a Ping fan and have owned most of there different models.

Best Rapture Advise Ever!!!
Created: 18/06/07
Rapture Irons are awesome. The only problem is that there are SEVERAL FAKES sold on eBay and they do nothing about it. Here are a couple of ways to spot a fake. First and foremost ask the seller for the serial number that appears on the hosel of every set of Raptures that Ping manufactures. If he trys to tell you he won't because of some BS excuse, then NO DEAL PERIOD! This number is specific to that set and no other. Once armed with this information call Ping and verify that the serial number is valid. They can tell you the exact set make-up, color code, shaft, flex, length, grip and date they were made. Another less complicated method is to look at the head. Some of the FAKES I've seen have a GREEN Tungsten weight in the toe. This is a dead give-away that they are fake. Ping Raptures are very expensive and good deals on NEW irons are usually not that good. One last thing, if you come across a set of FAKES, turn the jerk in to eBay. Maybe they will start doing something about the crooks that are everywhere on their site or at least stop someone from being taken by some jerk with a computer.....By the way, PING only sells to someone with a legitimate Ping Account!!! I've seen more crap about how a buddy purchased them in an overseas factory at a DEAL. This simple isn't TRUE!!!
The Crooks have also gotten to where they will put a serial number on the clubs. If you call Ping Golf and verify that the number is legitimate, you will find that it may be in their database, however the specs that are tied to that number are different than the specs on the irons being sold. BEWARE!!!

Awesome and extremely forgiving irons!!!
Created: 23/09/07
These irons are, quite simply, the most forgiving and the longest irons PERIOD. I have played the Mizuno MX900, Callaway Big Bertha 2006, Taylor Made R7, Tour Edge EX3, Nike Slingshot and Mizuno MX25 irons. Believe me when I tell you that none of these irons compares to the length and forgiveness of the Raptures. Mishits still give you fantastic distance and the feel/feedback is outstanding. The only drawback is the high price, but I got a really good deal on EBay. I know there are a lot of fakes being sold on EBay, but if you are vigilant and savvy, you can weed out the fakes and get some good deals. Just use some common sense---if it seems too good to be true, THEN IT IS. DON'T BE A VICTIM. Have the seller print a copy of the list a copy of the factory card telling you the makeup of the set and the serial number. If he is the original owner, then he has this information available. If you can get your hands on an authentic set of Raptures, then you will own one fantastic set of irons that will make you the envy of your foursome on the weekend.

Very good irons, easy to hit,and a nice feel!I've been playing Pings for years, these Raptures won't disappoint.I'm not a pro just a occasional golfer who likes good equipment.I bought a Rapture 7 iron to try and it was the best club in my bag,so I began bidding until I got a set I was happy with.It took a few weeks to get the dot code and the shafts I wanted at the price I was willig to pay.I've gotten to play once since,I like them!

Ping Rapture Irons with Z-Z65 stiff shafts
Created: 21/05/08
These Rapture clubs are one of the best clubs you will ever hit. The ball just glides off the face. Bad shots are still felt but also still go toward the target. You will hit these clubs a little higher than most and with the
Z-Z65 shaft, just makes it a fantastic combination. 3 & 4 irons are easier to hit than most sets. You will pay a lot more for a set of these compared to the I10 or G10 irons, but if you can swing the cash, you will have a set of clubs for a long time.
Enjoy and remember that a "Bad day at Golf is always better than a good day at work"
