Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 FES (Sony PlayStation 2, 2007)

This game,is a very good one. I had bought it,expecting it to be good..but it turned out to be great. There are more than a few things to talk about,but it's important that they are known. First of all,chances are you might not see a used copy at your local game store. So you might have no choice but to get it the way I got it,on Ebay..so be prepared to spend a bit more..but I got mine for a deal..only $25.00 so it's not that bad.

Secondly,if you like games that take a good long time to finish..then this is another game for you. You also might see that there is a Persona 3 and Persona 3:Fes,I would say..no DEMAND to get the FES version..because it's basically Persona 3.5. In English,it's P3 with extras..so it is worth the extra money.

What are the extras? Well,I won't spoil most..but I will say two things..a continuation from the "ending" of the game..and more requests from Elizabeth. Again,these add up if you like your game to be a long one..so no rush?

Third,I would say the English dub actually fits the characters pretty well. From the annoying,but kind Junpei..to the series Mitsuru..to the timid Fuuka..and to the android Aigis. You really feel like the job was done well,you get into it as the game goes on.

Fourth,it's a simulation..I said this..but it's time to expand a bit. You play as a high school boy who has come to live in a seaside Japanese town. You do everything like a normal guy would do,see friends..go to school,buy things,see girls,and just wander around.

Fifth,you control "Personas" which are basically aspects of your own personality,there are many to find and create..which adds a whole deeper scope to the game.

Lastly,the story is original and interesting. Like I said..your a regular guy who is going to live at a dorm with others,so you get there a bit late. Midnight,but your told that time of night is called The Dark Hour (The Shadow Hour in Japanese version) where normal people are encased within "coffins" and Shadows.

Monsters attack the few people who can actually move around at this time. Your charged with joining a special task force to eliminate the shadows,and protect innocent people..but it all gets deeper from that point on.

The game is highly original,and a must buy...I give it a Excellent rating.

I've heard about this game online some time ago and I decided to try it. I've failed to put it down since then. The goal of this game is to master the combat engine and form relationships with various NPCs over the course of a school year. The combat is solid and does require a bit of planning in order to master. However, long grinding secessions do get repetitive rather quickly. Thankfully, the game makes up for it with the relationship building side. The dialogue and translation are done well and anyone with a heart can't help but relate to at least one character involved with the story. The humor is hit and miss at times, but the payoff is well worth the occasional flop. My first playthrough lasted longer than 80 hours and those patient enough to see the story until the end will not soon forget the journey (no pun intended). All this doesn't even include the epilogue (The Answer - roughly 30 hours) which is a welcome addition to a wonderful game.

This game is very entertaining, and has tonnnnsss of content. It has a refreshing and fun battle system, and the story line and concept of the game in general is pretty great. I think that everybody that likes RPG's should give this game a try, and even if you don't normally play RPG's.. this game make change that; I would recommend it to anyone.

This edition of the game offers over 100 hours of game play. It has an engaging story and believable dialogue to work alongside it. The characters are interesting, the creatures are true works of art. This game makes you wish the lore was real. Out of all the games in my 100+ collection and out of all of my rarities (including all the .hacks, Digital Devil Saga's 1 + 2, and the infamous Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne) this is my most valued possession. Overall I recommend this game to all people who appreciate games that are challenging and adaptive, I also recommend it for its rarity and collect-ability.

the best things i loved about was the cut scenes. had a very good story end buttifull ending. dislikes was the answer i was hoping that the man person from the journey came back but i figer that. i would recomin it for anyone that love rpg but if you like the main charter would not play persona 4 but if you like persona like i do then get it.
