I Think I Love My Wife (DVD, 2007, Dual Side)

Why did I buy it? I saw it on Oxygen Chanell and thought it was hysterically funny and could not wait to see it again so I ordered it from Ebay a fast ship it is a funny movie and have shared it with friends who visit.

What did I like most about it? It is on point with a subject taht effect many couples topic infidelity and the way Chris Rock pulled it off was fantastic. The Viagra scene in the ambulance was riviting

What I dislike about? It was not long enough and a sequel is needed

My Synopsis: SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE alum Chris Rock writes, directs, and stars in I THINK I LOVE MY WIFE. Rock's film is a remake of the 1972 Eric Rohmer film, CHLOE IN THE AFTERNOON, which explores a married man's common struggle with extramarital temptations. Richard Cooper (Rock) has it all: a beautiful wife and family, a Employee with a staff who respect him and his family, who strongly disapporves of this " Other Woman" and her distructive pursuit of their married boss.

Multi talented Chris Rock gets a 5 stars rateing for this comedy, because Chris Rock writes, directs, and stars in I THINK I LOVE MY WIFE. Rock's film is a remake of the 1972 Eric Rohmer film, CHLOE IN THE AFTERNOON, which explores a married man's common struggle with extramarital temptations. Richard Cooper (Rock) has it all: a beautiful wife, Brenda (Gina Torres); adorable kids; a successful investment banking career--and complete boredom! He has become obsessed with other women, and a visit from an old friend's former flame, sexy and flirtatious Nikki (Kerry Washington), has him staring the possibility of infidelity in the face. Nikki pursues a friendship that provides Richard some much-needed excitement, but also lands him in all kinds of trouble. He jeopardizes his reputation at work, causes fights at home, and rapidly loses sight of what he has built his life around. At some point he must choose between his affair-fantasy and remaining the faithful husband and father he's always been.

I THINK I LOVE MY WIFE provides an entertaining and at times thought-provoking modern version of a classic tale, injecting lighthearted humor into a sensitive and all-too-familiar subject that plagues the marriage culture. Rock perfectly channels the suburban, career-climbing family man, while Torres and Washington are convincing as the angel versus devil on his shoulders.

Over the past month I have shown it and shared this movie with friends who all feel it is funny and we all know some one who is running from a she devil to his wife and family and re-thinking the mess he got himself into and finally concluding " I THINK I LOVE MY WIFE" and this is not worth it.

....my wife Tina was tired of all the action or other film genres we have been watching with all the violence in them.

So we both went to our local video chain to exchange our last video for a new one.

She wanted something that was lighter, funnier, and easy to view.

Well... this DVD did have its' moments for me. Not as good for me as for Tina, but she said I did laugh out loud a few times!

My only problem with the film was that it was like a teaser film, teasing with flirting all the time and never delivering. And no I wasn't looking for an X-Rated Film! Just that there was all this buildup in the film and no punchline!

The deleted scenes were funny and the bloopers were good too.

Tina thought it was pretty good, while I thought the casting was good,
but the storyline just didn't deliver the goods....

Thus the average rating for this DVD. Of course with Chris Rock in front of
the camera and behind it, you'll have to bear with the language that is used throughout the movie....

Why we bought it and what drew our interests? It starred Chris Rock(so it had to be funny) and it had a very interesting storyline. This movie gives a comical look at some of the boredom faced in a today's-like marriage... and what may run through a spouses mind. How far will they go? Will their desires strenghten their love or destroy it? Its not really a movie for your first date, but great for couples! The movie gets a little "goofy" at the end, but it was very enjoyable and held our attention all the way through.

A GREAT COMEDY that we would RECOMMEND WATCHING!!

Great DVD and I like the Dual side option. I owned the DVD before and wanted another copy. Chris Rock is one my favorite comedians. Gina Torres and Kerry Washington are great actresses as well.

I Think I Love My Wife" is an okay attempt by Chris Rock. A lot of it is the same old rants of race and sex. During the movie I felt that even with the dialogue changes I felt Rock kept trying to hard to be the "Richard" character. Even with the noticable flaws the movie was fair.
