Album Notes
Audio Mixers: Robert Montes; James Hoover; Phil Tan.Illustrator: Will Clark .Photographer: Jonathan Mannion. Two years after his multi-platinum smash debut, THE SOUND OF REVENGE, Chamillionaire comes back stronger than ever on his sophomore release, ULTIMATE VICTORY. Fueled by a fresh batch of outrage, Cham focuses on politics and the darker side of success--screaming on underhanded gold diggers ("Industry Groupie") and shady former friends ("The Bill Collecta"); lamenting the rap industry's pervasive materialism ("I Think I Love You"); attacking a racist media culture in general and Bill O'Reilly in particular ("The Morning News," "The Evening News"); and examining a different kind of police profiling ("Hip Hop Police").The Mixtape Messiah manages to put together some highly challenging hip-hop while keeping his lyrics squeaky-clean. Featuring a cohesively moody production sound that's heavy on seething synths and fevered drum tracks, ULTIMATE VICTORY is a compelling listen from start to finish. Beats come courtesy of Jonathan Rothem, Happy Perez, the Beat Bullies, the Runners, Kane Beatz, Dave M.G., and Play-N-Skillz, and Chops. Lil Wayne, Bun B, Krayzie Bone, Pimp C, Devin the Dude, and Slick Rick make up the guest-list.

Editorial Reviews
[H]e remains a truly innovative MC....The ability to change lyrical colours at the flip of coin has always been his most exciting attribute.
The Wire

3.5 stars out of 5 -- 'Pimp Mode' is a syrupy Texas gem, with acoustic guitar and a stellar verse from hometown legend Bun B...

One of the best rap albums in 2008

Created: 20/05/08
Everybody who purchase a CD search a niche. Whether they want to hear dance, romantic, intelligence content, they must know that this product is a lil bit different of all your expetations... This is my opinion but this CD is full of intelligence, realness and the TRUTH!! Spiced with punchlines, humor and catchy skits (track 17 "Rocky Road")....
This CD is a one full length song throughout the album. So the 1st thing what i demand with every CD (Connected songs)....checked. 1st track, The Morning News talks about issues in society, and it gets a worthy sequel with track 13 The Evening News, which was one of the singles. The Reelness grows with every track, The First Single and the second track Hip-Hop Police is aagain an evidence of Cham's reelness. Next six songs are just so perfect to me, that i aint going to talk bout them, you just gotta heard them by yourself. Those six songs includes Won't Let You Down, which contains a singing hook and was re-released by 18 minute remix Feat. Texas All-Stars. But one of the stand out track on this album is Pimp Mode with Bun-B. Only the hook is so smooth that it puts me melting with the punchlines by Houston Legend Bun B and Chamillionaire, and the end where Hakim(His real name) sents trick cleverly out of his car. I still think why this song wasn't a single. Now comes after a Skit song called Bill Collecta, which is kinda sequel to Ridin Dirty, his biggest hit. It also features Krayzie Bone and beat is very similar to Ridin Dirty and is also produced by Play-N-Skillz. It is the only aspiration on this cd to make commercial song. After this comes again a stand out track IMO. Ultimate Vacation is laid back, singing Chamillionaire delivers fire... Maybe after this song, project is maybe drifting off a little bit, but things are heating again when comes the start of the finish line. Track 16 makes even myself sing, though i cant sing.. It talks about a relationship in which he thought he loves someone, but in the end he did not. We all have gone through this situation, Right? Then comes A perfect Skit buy Cham's Up and Coming R&B singer Tony Henry "In The Ghetto" where Cham is not makin noise at all.. Last two tracks Rocky Road with Devin The Dude, is again a standout track, with Devin's voice which reminds me a lil bit a person who is smoked sum budha budha... Last track and the end The Ultimate victory is just a perfect finish to this album, there's cant be any better track to finish this super album.
Although this CD didnt make any commercial succes as his last album did, this is worth to listening as much as his last album. I actually don't know a rapper who can sing so melodic and rap so good like Chamillionaire does, i mean i'm not trying to say his top 5 rapper, but there's nobody else like chamillionaire, fo sho. So if u are bored of commercial bullshit and everything, you gotta purchase this album, because i have listened this album so much that my cd player's laser have burned lines on it[Lolz]....... This not a Classic, but definetly between somewhere Excellent and Good thats only because it dindt make much buzz, so people have missed something very good....

Ultimate Victory has the best hip hop lyrics out

Created: 11/04/08
Chamillionaire touches issues on this album that no other rapper has ever put into music. His lyrical skills are by far in my opinion the best. Maybe if the album would not have been releases the weekend after the 50 & Kanye showdown it would have pulled alot better numbers. I've heard all three rappers album and Ultimate Victory is by far the best. Don't think because there's no cursing on this album that it don't go hard.
