    Album Notes
Although best known in the United States for her 1997 dance hit "Show Me Love," Robyn has maintained a consistent and appealing career in Europe, balancing Kylie Minogue-style dance pop froth with a more assertive and intriguing set of influences. Highlights on ROBYN includes the first single "Who's That Girl?" cowritten and produced by the Swedish indie electronic duo the Knife, and the swirling, near-psychedelic "With Every Heartbeat." Not at all the pliant pop kitten a la Jessica Simpson that one might expect, Swedish singer-songwriter Robyn is more in keeping with Minogue or Madonna as a canny manipulator of her own image with a knack for musical reinvention. The U.S. edition of ROBYN features three tracks not on the original European version.

4 stars out of 5 -- Her self-titled, self-labeled return is heartsick and pissed off, with freezy electro beats and a poison purr light on sex kitten and heavy on avenging angel you can dance to.

When I first heard of Robyn back in the 90's with that pop song "show me love" I yawned and changed the station when it would come on. Then I discovered "Konichiwa Bitches" and my interest was peaked. She has come a LONG way since the 90's and her ingenuity is stunning. This girl pulls out all the stops, goes for the knees and will take you out. I purchased this CD a full 4 years after release on a whim. Now I am scurrying to purchase all her other albums, too. I definitely recommend checking her out.

    The best work of Robyn

    Created: 09/11/10
For ordinary people, this is a egomassage album from an egomaniac singer. But Robyn knows how to pass the right thing through this one. This is a MUST-LISTEN piece for all music lovers around the world. The first song, as i like to consider, is a well-written joke that's fun to listen to. And about the rest... God, it's perfection. I recommend.

PS: the only con about this one is that it came without case, but it can be easily bought in a paper store.

Awesome pop music without the annoyance factor of many other in the genre. This album is highly recommended to synth pop fans. Catchy and well produced. I love it.
