Nancy Drew: The Haunting of Castle Malloy (PC, 2008)

I've been playing the Nancy Drews PC games since they came out years ago. This one is so far the best one I've played. I can't wait until the new one comes out next month. PS. don't bother with The Secret of the Old Clock - worst game so far.

I love the Nancy Drew games, and in particular I love storylines that follow ghostly activity. This particular game was exciting to play, it provided the new experience (for me) of having a bird's eye view of Nancy as she explored the castle grounds. Don't be deceived, this game is actually quite a bit more difficult than some of the others, as it contains many logical puzzles that you need endless patience to complete! I have to admit that I needed my boyfriend to help me complete a couple of them (shh). At times the game would be a little confusing - I played on Senior Mode - and I would be unsure as to what to do next. The trip through the swamp is extremely complicated and it took many attempts, even with the walkthrough! I am not too sure about the drift between two different genres, but others may like it. The only thing wrong with the game was that it was often glitchy when I tried to cross the wall after I unlocked it.

I liked how there were many places to go. They really made you think throughout the game. It definitely requires patience. The setting was neat. There were a lot of puzzles to do. I bought it because I collect Nancy Drew games, and I really recommend this one.

I like this game. It follows the general Nancy format, as well as giving the story-line justice. I quite enjoyed this game. A good play.

This game is very fun.It tests your mind. The scenery is AWESOME. Herinteractive makes wonderful games for adults and children alike !Compared to the other Nancy Drew PC games I have played I think Haunting of Castle Malloy would be among the best!
