7 Wonders of the Ancient World (Nintendo DS, 2007)

This is a great pick up and play title for the DS that I very highly recommend to any casual puzzle afficianados out there like myself. It's difficult enough to find good puzzle games for console systems, this is one of the better ones (although it is more graphically impressive on a PC than a DS system). It's very easy to play, the basic concept is the same as most click and swap puzzles with colorful runic stones to be swapped but in this case you also need to keep clearing stones in order to keep your little 'gyptian workers happy on the bottom screen. If you don't keep clearing the board, the workers below will go on strike. Once you have cleared a stage and collected the necessary building stones, a certain percentage of the magnificent monumnent you are working on is completed. So, there is incentive to keep playing to try and get each "Wonder of the Ancient World" completed with as high a score as possible. Definitely a casual game as it's not very deep and it is repetitive but it is also addictive and well executed. I would recommend this very highly!

7 Wonders is fun, quick, cute and exciting. I would recommend this game for anyone of any age! Great color and grapics. Creative story. One of the best of the puzzle games. Game was fun on the computer, but even better on the DS because of the convenience. A+!

This game is ALOT of fun!!! You have to match runes (colorful gems) by 3 or more in a row to eliminate rows.

At first, I was like, "ok so what's fun about that"? I found out when you eliminate a row, you remove the backing or background of the row/s. This means you need to make sure you eliminate all the rows in each round. That makes it fun and a reason to eliminiate rows. Each level gets harder too. It is so addicting and I enjoy it alot. I've beat the game and am playing it again. The replay value is excellent!!

hint: there are lives in this game. When you play the 7 wonders, which means you go through 7 levels to beat the game. They give you certain number of lives and if you lose your lives in the middle of the game. Let's say wonder 3, you have to start over again to wonder 1. I haven't seen that happen to me because what I do is, when the time is about to run out, I click on "quit" and start again on the same level rather than lose a life for running out of time. This way you can re-try again and move on to the next level.

I play a LOT of games and this is one FUN game!

It's one of the best gem or jewel games I've ever played. Great graphics, very colorful, fantastic music and the puzzles get harder as you clear each stage.

It's called 7 Wonders of the Ancient World because as you finish each round, you're helping the 'ancient' workers in the background build each Wonder brick by brick or stone by stone!

I get bored easily and often look for new stuff to play. But I always keep coming back to this game when I want to be challenged & entertained!

Once you play this game you'll be hooked to!

Liked the changing levels. It is like the jewel quest I have and it was a lot of fun as well. It will give you bonus gems so while challenging, not impossible.
