X-Plane 9 (Mac)

Son loves this game!! Really fun game and lots of add ons at X-Plane.org. The price is also not very high for it!!

My brand new 17inch mac book pro couldn't play this game on full screen. What a waste of money. additionally, user interface is difficult, there isnt any sort of tutorial and i find myself bored after an hour.

I don't play many games on the computer, but when I saw this title it was a must have. This is a must have game for any aviation enthusiast!

The graphics are stunning, and on my LED monitor are simply beautiful. Yet another reason I kick myself for hanging around with Windoze and MS Flight Simulator for so long. Don't get me wrong, MS FS X was a good product, easily the best of the series and I have owned several versions. However, X-Plane 9 looks stunning, is easy to fly, fun and with options such as the Wi-Fly app on the iPhone to control flight on X-Plane 9, simply leaves MS FS for dead. If you're a flight sim fan and you own or are considering switching to Mac - buy this, you will not regret it!

It's a pretty good game. It is novel to have flocks of birds and deer crossing your runway. Water textures are amazing. The real earth mapping is nicely detailed. Some of the detail on airports is messed up- there are taxiway lights and/or windsocks in the middle of runways and water textures run up into the mountains making it look like HUGE waterfalls or liquid mountains. I wish all aircraft had virtual cockpits. I can't believe the Vans RV series of Aircraft aren't even painted. Still, the realism in other areas is amazing. I like the game. I switched to an iMac because of the obvious problems inherent with PC's, namely viruses and crashes. I'm glad there is this game for my iMac.
