Movie synopsis
Shawn Ryan, a regular writer for "Angel" and other programs, created this crime drama to challenge the mores of televised entertainment and to provide a heightened reality with increasingly complicated moral questions. Michael Chiklis stars as Vic Mackey, perhaps television's most no-nonsense detective. His violent, brutal methods bring results, but are often despised by his colleague Detective Wyms (CCH Pounder). Also included are a cast of layered characters including a homosexual cop (Michael Jace) and an officer who is also running for office (Benito Martinez). The show's popularity on the F/X network comes from its hard boiled delivery emphasized by unflinching portrayals of police brutality and unclean street language. Episodes have been helmed by first-rate directors including Nick Gomez (LAWS OF GRAVITY, THE SOPRANOS) and D.J. Caruso (THE SALTON SEA).

) There have been so many cop shows through out the years but nothing like this. This is an in your face show, that will keep you on the edge of your seat. There really has never been anything like this on cable television. You follow the strike team and the rest of the Farmington Police Department on a journey through a fictitious California city Farmington. Farmington is set to be in the south central part L.A.,with tons of gangs,drugs,prostitutes,and crime
The strike team is a notorious police gang unit in Farmington known for being ruff but affective. You follow them through many crazy situations you never know how they will get through. The Farmington P.D is being investigated for corruption and dirty cops.You get a first hand look of raids,drug bust,corruption and many more!
You also look in as detectives Claudette Wims and Dutch Wagenbauch investigate some of the most horrific and crazy crimes. Dutch is a very intellectual yet geeky detective but he is a very affective detective. His geeky ways make him a target for other cops jokes and pranks. Claudette on the other hand is a a tough and smart detective. Together they make an amazing team and when there in that interrogation room you cant take your eyes away!
There is so much say about season 1 of the Shield but I would not want to ruin the season for you. I have now bought the 5 other season and am addicted. This is got to be one of the most riskiest and best shows ever. You almost forget that it is a cable television show because of some of the situations that arise. I will guarantee that any one who buys this will be addicted!

This is the season that got me hooked on Vic Mackey and the Strike Team. I've bought every season out and watch them faithfully. Waiting for 6/8/09 for the final season 7 to be released.

The whole show revolves around the Strike Teams shenanigans, action packed and prob the best show ever on tv since Werewolf. Strongly recommend all to watch.

Saw the show on T.V. wanted to know what the begging was like. I'm on disc 3 and I am consumed inthe show. Can't wait to order the rest of the seasons in the very near futre.
