    Synopsis
Goddess of Glam Agnetha Faltskog was one of the biggest stars of the Swedish music recording scene, launching her own solo career during the 1960s and becoming the youngest member of ABBA in the early '70s. In this candid autobiography, she talks about her musical childhood in Jönköping, her days of solo success, and her glory with the phenomenally popular disco-pop quartet.

    Publisher's Note
Agnetha Fältskog is the first member of Swedish pop legends ABBA to tell her own story in a book which sets the record straight on countless issues where this sensitive and talented performer has been misquoted and misrepresented by the world's press. Agnetha Fältskog is the first member of Swedish pop legends ABBA to tell her own story "When myths develop about you--such as attempts by the press to portray me as another Garbo--it can be dangerous. People get the impression that you have closed the doors and lost interest in everything. Well, I haven't closed any doors - not to myself, new ideas, new opportunities or my own music."As I Am covers Agnetha's extraordinary career from its beginning in a small town in Sweden when she was only 15 to knocking the Beatles off the top of the Swedish pop chart just two years later, through the hard slog of touring around Europe and on into the phenomenal ABBA years - Eurovision, the concerts, the hit records, the TV appearances, the media attention, the fans, her marriage, her children, the good times, the bad times and the strain of the final tour in 1979. Agnetha explains franly and honestly the reasons behind the break-up of ABBA and tells of the difficult times which followed, the solo career which was cut short just when everything seemed to be going so well, her decision to step out of the limelight, her life today and her plans for the future.

Looks at the life and career of the singer from the rock group ABBA, highlighting her work with the group, her solo work, her marriages, and other aspects of her personal life

    Interesting information on Agnetha Faltskog

I wanted to read about the gorgeous blond from the ABBA singing sensation. ABBA is one of my favorite singing groups. I enjoyed the book and the photos, but would have liked to have had a longer book with more in-depth information. What was provided was interesting, but too short.
