overlooked psycho-slasher film
Created: 13/02/07
A quartet of murderous psychopaths break out of a mental hospital during a power blackout and lay siege to their doctor's house....Legendary actors Jack Palance (when he says: "Happy . . . Trails . . .", I still lose it to this day)...and Martin Landau (look for his line: "Vengeance is mine, sayeth the Lord...HA HA HA HA HA!")...are loving it and hamming it up like never before. If you've never seen this film and are a fan of slasher movies this is a must buy. ALso: Donald Pleasence as Dr. Leo Bain is so way over-the-top, it makes his character in the Halloween series seem merely subdued. If you are a fan of sick humor, I say get it! Luckily, it has nothing to do with that awful Uwe Boll film released last year with the same title.
