Apple MacBook MC207LL/A
Created: 09/06/10
I had been using a late white mac from 2007 and just loved it. I would never go back to windows. I scoured all the sources I could find that included the Glossy LED Screen feature and that was worth it. The computer itself seems more solid. The bottom has a slip proof bottom and the glass mouse bar is set back far enough that the edges don't cut into your wrists like the old one. The mac has a top sites program that shows twelve different sites you use the most and that has saved me time already. The laptop does not run hot on the bottom at least so far. The speakers are much better. I haven't used the DVD feature yet and a long list of other things. But so far I love it.

It has a very nice multitouch trackpad to swipe through pictures, etc; without using the arrow keys. It is very sleek and the new unibody design makes it look better than the previous macbook. It looks sleeker. Also, the harddrive is bigger than even the standard on the macbook pro. 250gb on this one compared to only 160gb on the pro.
Some things that the pro has that this macbook does not: The IR port has been removed, no more apple remote with this model. The firewire port has been removed (available on the pro, I never have used firewire though.) The pro includes an SD card slot (for camera cards, etc)
Overall, I am very pleased. The palm rest is made from a better polycarbonate plastic now and dirt does not attract itself as easy. One thing that I don't really like is the edge of the palm rest is now like a complete 90 degree angle, and when you lay your wrists on it, it is not the most comfortable after a while.
I would definitely recommend this laptop to anyone looking around, this is my first mac, but I am pretty computer savvy. (www.HaganComputerServices.com) And even if you've been a "PC" all of your life, try a mac. At the very least, you can install Vista or Windows 7 on it. :P

So far I LOVE my new MacBook. I was able to simply pull it out of the box and turn it on and start using it. Being more familiar with Window's based systems I had to play around with the computer for a little bit, but overall I've found the conversion relatively painless. I love the size of the laptop. It's super fast, yet super light and compact. The seller I purchased the unit from installed many additional programs and additional memory and a larger HD than the base unit. I got a great deal on my MacBook and now I don't want to use my Window's based desktop (even though it has a 20" flatscreen monitor!). I highly recommend the Mac. You may pay a little more, but you definitely can feel and see what you're paying for.

My wife and I decided to purchase this, our first Apple product ever, and we are now wondering what took us so long. The seller was instrumental in helping us with this decision. Not only was it the best deal on Ebay at the time for a used Macbook, but he gave us some very important information on software related issues. It has so many features that make it superior to any PC laptops we have ever owned: the new amazing trackpad, very bright display, 7 hr + battery life, attractive design, and all the great apps that come with the Snow Leopard OS. The prices have finally come down to a rate that many more people can afford them. Bravo!

Where have you been my entire life?

I wonder why I waited so long to buy a mac. I had a 20+ relationship with PC's running various windows applications. There was always some drama associated. Unexpected file corrupts, system lockings, programs unexpectedly closing...the list goes on. I am in love with my MAC book. I can't explain it except to say all of the applications, the way the desktop is set up, it all just makes sense. It appeals to the way my brain works. Out of the box I was ready to play. It took me less than a day to undo the habits learned under the windows system to get used to this unfamiliar Operating System. I've had the MAc for a month, no service interrupts, no system failures, no unexpected file or program closures. And the sucker is fast I can switch applications, the loading of the files is quick. I'm a MAC convert. It's my new love! Oh did I mention that I don't miss the annoying internet explorer with all it's viral issues? Yeah, I'm a happy MAC.
