These MacBooks can still get it done! If you can get one with a good processor speed (1.8 to above 2) and a gig or two of ram, you can still get OS up to 10.6.8 and work with a variety of programs at a decent speed. Lots of options right at your hands with Mac's ease of use and overall quality. In the $200 to $300 range and taken care of, it's a great buy for a beginning to mid-use computer.

Still a great machine with enough power to get done most of what you need to do. Even for a model that is 7 years old now.

This is my first MacBook. I enjoy every minute of it using it to browse the web, e-mail, and for productivity. I wanted to try with a used MacBook before I would get a new one. I'm ready! I'm officially a Mac freak!
