This laptop is put together quite well and is light. It's performance is more than adequate for everyday use - web browsing, word processing, spreadsheet work, etc. The solid state drive is a big win. I no longer experience the hiccups I would some time experience on my slightly older Macbook Pro that had a spinning hard drive.
Two small shortcomings:
- The screen resolution isn't great. This becomes noticeable especially if you're used to looking at a Retina display on other devices.
- The bottom part of the unibody has some flex and can creak slightly typing.

I waited 12 years to jump to the MAC platform. I should have done it sooner!! When you are in your mid sixties and have worked with Windows your whole life, it can be intimidating learning something all new...more than MAC for Dummies, you buy "MAC for Senior Dummies"!
Take the plunge and you will never regret it! Got my laptop loaded with the programs I wanted, ordered it on EBAY and got it in days. I opened it up and never looked back...I was hooked. Yes it is different, but it is easy to learn and it performs lightyears ahead of what I was accustomed to using. I have added a 24" monitor, a wireless keyboard and mouse, and I can't wait to fire her up every morning! There are video training programs for anything you want to learn so you have hundreds of choices for a free tutor to work with you at your own pace.
I have beautiful power in my office and killer power when I travel. This MAC weighs less than some of my favorite magazines! By the way, I now get a lot of my magazines on my IPAD and everything moves with the Cloud!
Apple may cost a little more, but oh my gosh, they deserve to make millions~!!! Keep on developing.....I am sold forever on Apple. Buy it - get it - you can even have windows if you want it...but after you see what you get with Apple, I have never even opened my Windows program!!!!!

) Great laptop and I love the Apple operating system compared to my previous PC! Very light and compact. The screen is very clear and bright, decent battery life but couldnt expect too much more out of such a thin body. Great laptop overall!

) I bought this laptop for school and it light and portable to use in class. There isn't really anything I dont like about it incept it can be hard to read books on it but that is it.

Great computer, its quick, its sleek, and it made a great gift for a family member. He was surely happy to be able to play games and not have them lag as well as being able to use word processing and other programs necessary to do well in school
