Demons in the Heartland

This movie about demonic possession is one of the best I have seen yet!! Exorcist eat your heart out!. Now let me clarify one thing the plot and storyline are Ok the Character profiles and their histories are what accumulates to the grand finale and final battle. And as you watch the movie you begin to understand that Evil has a work on earth and is actively seeking it's intended targets, and those targets though they seem outright may not be the real thing only the bait!!!

OK for student of demonology - others stay away.

OK movie; plot was a bit confusing. Much better films on the process of exorcism, though. If you're a student of the subject (i.e., a demonologist), it might be worthwhile to have in your reference library, since it is supposedly based on an actual event. Otherwise, if you're the average American couch potato, buy The Possession of Emily Rose instead (and buy the book Emily Rose is based upon, The Possession of Michele Annalise).

The movie was just plain great. The scene flowed and it kept you on the edge of your seat until the very end and then it brought the true story of child molestation home. The father got what he deserved for what he did to his own flesh and blood.

Aren't Excorcism's supposed to be scary?????

This movie had very few moments of real drama. After the opening minutes the film descended in a spiral that didn't quite take us to hell and back - viewing was pure purgatory to say the least. The acting was more horrendous than the subject matter of the film and at times I couldn't stop laughing. The continuity between some of the scenes was dire - characters disappeared from scenes without explanation only to be replaced by other characters who minutes earlier had been some where else.
