Bose Lifestyle V25 5.1 Channel Home Theater System

Great sound. Easy set-up. For the first time I have one remote that really works!
Sounds just as good as a much more expensive system we have in the theater room.
Highly recommend this.

The Bose system has opened up an entirely new sound experience for me.
Even commercials sound great!
Definitely worth the investment.

Buying the V25 was a pretty easy descion, Im a teckno junkie and own alot of electronics and know my stuff. I had just visit a Bose Factory Outlet Store, for demo and price point references on all their Home Threatre products. The Bose Factory Outlet is a big joke to me as I can beat there prices by hundreds in most cases. Just be smat and find your product there, Listen ask and learn. Then proceed to a trusted ebay seller and look at the price difference. WOW! I saved $400.00 from waiting and buying from Ebay.Now to the V25 lifestle unit. Lifestyle is a consumer based all around product line Bose created for people whom want a one solutio-do it all and provide a sound like not matched unless your in a CINIPLEX. Many Bose non-life syle systems give you speakers, and SUB woofer unit and you have to supply the reciver/amp as to push the speakers. Major cost not included in those packages and big descions on the type of rec/amp and the compatability issues like is it 7-1 or 5-1 surround sound output. This means how many speakers are fired and the sync of how they are fired by the reciever/amp. Then is the issue of adding other components such as blue rays, dvd, cable/ Dish TV etc. That rund into problems so that why a V25-35 is a great solution. HDMI inputs,usb inputs, and easy to use direct wire blocks. This means you buy a cable and just connect the peice you ad to the V@% with little or know hassle with no worry of hookup issues. The V25 has a bulit in HDTV CD player so you dont need to wory about DVD players as well as it will play various computer DVD/CDs as it has a large formatt reading library. Sound is not like anyother brand I can assure you. I have had them all and only a handful are comparable or can match a V25. You can set up the room and it auto calibrates the speaker firing making it perfect for the room through a software disk included in the package. The sound is perfect and awsome, I use a old movie TOP gun as to illustrate and test my Home packages. The lows, the highs the thunder , just is like being in the real scenario. All can be connected cable/TV/Blueray in one romote they supply. No picking up 5 romotes to do it one and one only. Last but not least lots of nice accesories for support. Real nice mounting brackers to secure the speakers come with it, but you can buy real top end stands which I love that enhance the room you use. Then you can add room wireless speaker enhancements loosing the need for wires and the hiding of wires in large rooms or additonal rooms. A v25 in the box will be enough as to blow away your guest and family on movie night or just HBO type movies. I suggest upgrading to a V-35 if you room size exceeds 500 sq ft. The Bose company will never tell you the wattage of the systems but any room over 500 sq ft needs the added power amp built in and the extra sub sound and speakers of a V35 will take on the added space with ease. A family room of mid to large etc is perfect for the V25, but if you have a super dooper room upgrade. Buy and buy now its worth it. If you want to be cheap and get a sound, not sure what its is, but its a ound get the walmart $499 system. Sony, RCA all have that and it works but its like cars do a job but not like a bose I can tell you its night and day.

This system may cost more, but what it delivers in sound quality, features and (relative) ease of set up is more than worth the price. The ease of calibrating the surround sound speakers was easy and entertaining all by itself. My entertainment room is 20' X 30'. I'm amazed at how much rich, clear sound comes from Bose's relatively small Direct/Reflecting speakers. The Accoustimass Module (subwoofer) takes care of the rest. I also found "training" Bose's remote to adopt to my TV, Blue Ray and Cable Box controllers was quite easy when using the on-screen tutorial. I laughed when remembering how I used to have three remotes tied together to change from one entertainment mode to another. When shopping for Home Theater component systems and comparing more than price, the Lifestyle 25 kept standing out from the crowd. I do feel it's noteworthy to know all speakers do not plug into the Bose Control Console (central amplifer with AM/FM and CD player). The only connection between this console and the surround sound speakers is in the "Bose Link" mini DIN 9-pin connector cable. This single, relatively small cable goes from the control unit to the Acoustimass (subwoofer) floor-mounted module. All other surround sound speakers plug into hidden RCA-type plugs in the Subwoofer. Knowing this in advance will help with hiding speaker wires. Not all installations will look like the brochure with speakers floating on walls, bookshelfs or the floor with descrete if not invisible wiring. If you could get the speakers and wiring before closing the walls of your (pick one: Den, Bedroom, Living Room, Office, etc), you too would have an installation as clean and neat as the happy people in the collateral. With a custom made Entertainment Center it's easy to conceal a fair amount of wiring. It's the pesky rear speakers that become the challenge. Bose has an excellent audio specialist Help Desk. They helpped me with the set-up and described adaptors for connecting and extending speakers to the subwoofer. Sorry, but not all variables are covered in the handy literature packed in the Lifestyle 25 carton. Bottom line, we all have to deal with speakers and wire. Bose makes it fairly convenient. It's up to you to be inventive with their single point of origination. I don't work for Bose, nor did I have any pre-ordained thoughts about other popular brands. I'm quite pleased with this system. Our family enjoys it on a daily basis.

This system has turned my living room into a home theater. It might b a little pricee, but well worth it. The F M alone turned is the best stero I've ever herd
