| Offering a selection of three unique sounds, the Boss OC-2 Octave guitar effect pedal allows for tones below the original, at the original, and an octave above the original. This allows a player to use the guitar effect pedal and reach sounds normally unavailable with one guitar. The Boss guitar effect pedal allows for separate volume control for each of the octaves. Other features of the Boss guitar effect pedal include a specific pitch control for natural sounds, as well as staccato sounds, without losing pitch. The Boss OC-2 Octave guitar effect pedal includes a power source from either a 9V battery or an AC adapter. This way, the guitar effect pedal can be used when plugged into the wall or on battery power for wireless control. With the Boss guitar effect pedal, a musician will be able to create the clear, strong sounds of three different guitars from one single musical instrument. | |

The 1980's Japanese version far exceeds the newer Boss OC-3 model. Their is just something about these OC-2 pedals that sets it apart from other octave pedals. The bass tones you can generate with a guitar are simply amazing. The EH Octave multiplexer comes real close, but it just isn't the same. I've tried a few different octave pedals, but I keep coming back to the OC-2. If you want to copy the White Stripes or Rage Against the Machine, it can easily be done. Want bass tracks, but don't own a bass...this pedal is what you use. It's an idea generating machine!

) The effects pedal that I actually bid on and won is a Boss OC-3. The OC-3 was advertised but the photo was of the junior OC-2. Am I glad I won this! It's the first item that I was given the opportunity to buy after someone else had 'beat me out @ end of bidding'. They must have changed their mind or not had the $ or ?? I worked @ a Music Store and played with their OC-3 every day. I wanted it badly but I didn't have the $150.00 to buy it. I woke up one morning and saw the item was available again for $47. I bought it immediately. Thanks to E-Bay for keeping track and getting me a great deal on a Boss OC-3.

) Great boss pedal. Brings out low end and low-mid frequencies, it can simply beef up a guitar sound or make it sound like a bass or baritone guitar. I like the separate octave controls(1 and 2 octaves below) and the simple layout. This is not a harmonizer or pitch shifter.

our band does alot of classic rock,and 1 set of floyd/waters,we mix our originals in.we are considered a psychedelic,melodramatic pop,heavy classic styling riffing rock band.
as the guitarist,i have designed a dual full stack setup,with an a/b switcher.on my first line i have a blackheart engineering bh100h hothead 100 watt tube driven head,on top of a "G FLEX" Genz Benz 4x12 cabinet,this is where i have a pedal setup,a powered board with 12 spots,and 3 pedals that were too big to fit inside.chorus,delay,pitch shifters,and this octave pedal gives me a mix that sums up our musical style.this octaver is such a magic sounding pedal,with so many tonal possibilities,that i had to have it included.our queen covers are spot on,our originals are rich in tonality.we love to layer our sound,so the oc-2 gives us this sound,along with our other harmonizing effects.we are not queen,but they are a huge influence,we are stuck in the mindset of creating a sound of our own,utilizing our favorite influences,then write accordingly.

Bullet Proof Octave Pedal

Since BOSS released the OC-3, you can pick these up for about half the cost. Because it is a BOSS pedal it is bullet proof. Totally gig worthy.
