) Sorry, but if you have a Dell 942 scanner/printer this J4844 does not work in the unit. I wasted my money buying two of these thinking I would be printing fantastic photos......but, I have tried it in both side of the black vs color ink sides and it will not work no indicate the cartridge. If you have 942 unit stick with the basics 4646 and 5567 for color ink and 4640 and 5566 for the black ink.
