Callaway Big Bertha 2004 Irons set Golf Clubs
Created: 05/04/07
The 2004 Big Bertha Iron set is one of Callaway's most forgiving iron sets ever. This set features wide soles, deep cavities, a slight offset, and Callaway's VFT technology. These features combine to give these irons a high MOI (moment-of-inertia). Basically, the higher the MOI, the more forgiving the club is on mishits. By moving more of the weight lower in the clubhead and below the ball, it's easier to get the ball airborne. Poor hits turn into OK shots. I've acutally hit the ground 3 inches behind the ball with a 4 iron from this set, and the ball still got in the air and went straight. It only went about 130 yards, but my playing partners just thought I was laying up. Besides that, I personally think these are the best looking Big Bertha irons yet.

BBs Improved my score
Created: 25/08/06
I bought my used 2004 BBs (4-10+50* wedge) with graphite 75i shafts a couple of weeks ago on ebay. I was suspicious about all the fake Callaway clubs out there. When these arrived, I checked to see if the 8 iron had a Callaway Serial number. Whew! It was there. So far Ive used them on about 72 holes of golf. All I can say is smooth feel, more distance on fat shots, fun to play with and my score on 9 holes went from 48-50 with my old 26 year old Delta irons, to a 41-45 in one weeks time. I'm itting the sweet spot almost every time. Now I have to focus on club selection because these have added about 15-20 yards to each stroke as well. Overall I ighly recommend these. I opted for the 2004 BBs instead of the 2006 BBs because of the difference in cost. Someday I may upgrade to the new 2008 BBs, but right now I'm happy grabbing frequent pars and rare birdies.

Big Bertha 2004 Iron Sets
Created: 04/06/08
The Big Bertha 2004 Iron Set (4 - PW)is without a doubt, among the easiest to hit irons out there. I chose steel shafts to help keep flex to a minimum and produce the most consistent swing possible. I upgraded from a name-brand (but inexpensive) set and saw an immediate improvement in my game. I am a medium to high handicapper and feel as if there couldn't possibly be a set of irons that are more forgiving than the Berthas. I saw an immediate improvement as far as consistency - hitting quality shots more often. Also, I am no longer afraid to hit low irons. I used to dread hitting my 4 or 5 - now they produce some of my most consistent shots. I have absolutely no regrets or complaints about purchasing my Berthas.

2004 Callaway Big Bertha Set

The best set of Big Bertha's Callaway has ever made. Try them you will like them. The wide sole and excellent weighting make them easy to hit and very forgiving like all Callaway Big Bertha's. You will enjoy these clubs. I would highly recommend them for the average golfer.

EXCELLENT IRONS!

It is great to have a set of irons that gets the ball up in the air. They are pretty forgiving. I will use these until they wear out! I'd highly recommend them over. I bought them because I was able to demo them and loved the feel of them immediately. Better than the X series. I even liked them better than the XTOUR irons. Callaway did well with the Big Bertha irons. I do know that they are great for the money...compared to buying the 2006 version. There really is no difference between the two. The only negative is there is not a lot of shot-shaping ability with these irons...if you want that, you'll have to go to a forged set. GOOD LUCK!
