) It's very good for novice short film makers, it takes great pictures and it has full high definition capabilities. If you're making a short film, get your accessories ready and get this camera and your final products will be awesome!
great beginner dslr

) I purchased a refurbished t2i that looks brand new. this is my first dslr so I don't have much to compare it to. I am gradually learning the modes. it takes very nice pictures. I would love to get more lenses for it. the kit lens is great with close ups since it has macro.

If anyone out there are planning to start photography, as a profession, and cant afford much, then CANON T2i(550D) is the best choice. This falls under the basic model in Professional category. It has all the features with a good CMOS image processor. As it falls in EOS family, you have wide range of lenses from canon, if not affordable you can go for Tamron. I like all the features in here except its performance in low light. For the money, its performance is good but compared to the high end cameras like 5D, its only draw back is its performance in low light. Its speed enough to click action pics. Great image quality and provides wide range of file formats. For 600$ you wont get any better camera than this.

I did lots of research to get the best for the price and I am very happy with my choice. I have watched alot of videos on youtube to learn how to move out of the point and shoot mode. This camera is really fairly easy to learn to use.
