Movie synopsis
Steven Spielberg produced this live-action feature starring the friendly ghost created in 1940 by Joe Orolio. In it, greedy heiress Carrigan Crittenden inherits the haunted Whipstaff Manor and discovers that the house contains a treasure, which is closely guarded by three nasty ghosts. She invites ghost therapist Dr. James Harvey, and his daughter Kat, to move into the eerie mansion and get rid of the supernatural creatures.The nephew of the three spirits is Casper, a friendly ghost who becomes Kat's pal. Casper takes Kat to his father's secret lab where he once attempted to bring Casper back to life with a special machine. Carrigan eavesdrops on their conversation and decides to become a ghost herself, in the hope that she will get the booty more easily. Then she can use the machine to change back to a human. However, Carrigan doesn't realize that you can't flirt with the afterlife.

) My family loves this movie, It is a light-hearted movie about a girls relationship with Casper and a father and daughter becoming closer. This is the kind of movie that you can watch over and over again. Not just a kid movie.

I bought the movie for my 3 year old daughter who LOVES Casper. It was one of my favorites and a great way to pass on every ones favorite ghost to a new generation of Casper fans.

) i just got the dvd today casper was a memory a good one cause i was in junior high at the time in love with my junior high crush every time i thought about him it was like he would appear and we were all in the auditorium different classes but his class was in there when mine was and they were showing clips of the movie my friend's told me chuck was looking at me he was 1 seat behind me and when i looked back he was i was so blushing

) I bought this DVD for my granddaughter. She had seen it when her mother had watched it a couple of years ago and loved it. I like these good old fashioned movies for the children rather than the more violent cartoons as young children pick up bad things so easily.
