Classic 30-Minute Meals : The All-Occasion Cookbook by Rachael Ray (2006, Hardcover)

I guess my review on this book will be rather biased since I have this incredibly, hopeless crush on Rachael. So with that thought in mind, read on. OK, I am a male starting single life over, and it didn't take long for me to grow weary as well as broke eating out all the time. Enter Rachael Ray! With her book and a few new pots and pans I can now turn out food that not only looks good, but taste good. I love the way she measures things, like EVOO. Twice around the pan, or a handful of some herb or spice, you just don't need a lot of fancy measuring devices. I am new at the cooking game, but thanks to Rachael's book I feel like I could give any local chef a run for there money. The book covers desserts as well as just about any kind of meal, including kid meals. Try the Carbonara or her recipe for Chicken Fried Steak and Gravy and you will find out where the "Yum-O" on the cover of the book comes from. Rachael not only makes cooking great foods fast and easy, but fun too! This is my first cookbook and maybe last, so many great dishes to try. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Rachael!!!!

The book is great for people with busy lives. Decided to buy it because the recipes seemed simple and easy to follow. I love Rachael Ray's show, but thought it would be nice to have an actual book and not all of these loose recipes floating around my kitchen from her show on TV. :) I was very happy with my purchase.

I gave this cookbood a good rating. Its good for Rachael Ray. Not the best cookbook, not the worst. Certainly one of her better ones. She has an occasional insight into a good recipe and it shows in some of these. Most are ok, a few great and some terrible. This is truly one of her best collections. All in all, worth the price on ebay for the one or two recipes that you may keep. She is a much better show woman than a true chef. That is not a big criticism as I do love her personality. Her recipes are just not that great overall. Too bad as she is just plain fun.

Great Cookbook got the book for our daughter and she uses it two to three times a week for her family. The recipes are as described and very easy to follow.

It's great! So far we are really pleased with the book! It has some yummy recipes we have tried and hope to try. So far, it seems to hold true to the 30 minutes!
