Coby MP828 (8 GB) Digital Media Player

This product is good. I have been using this product from the day one. except for the battery life, all other features are good in this mp3 player. For a normal use, this mp3 player is best. The camera quality is not that megapixel kind, but it is still good. i would recommend this to others. the video is also good. one good feature is i can use this mp3 player as the USB storage device also. overall rating would be 4 out of 5. I purchase this coby for my wife I liked the fm radio the digital camera the LCD touch screen display and that you can play videos on it and add a micro sd card. BUT What I did not LIKE is the battery LIFE THE BATTERY IS BAD IT WOULD NOT LAST UP TO 6 HOURS JUST TURNING IT ON ITS STARTS GOING DOWN.I RETURN IT FOR FULL REFUND.I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO NO ONE.

I ordered this player as a replacement for my old one. The old player was the 4GB version but I accidentally broke it. I bought this player because the features were identical to my old one. I can select music by artist, album, genres or favorites. The camera is a nifty feature to have but sadly has low resolution. Still it is handy to have when you need a camera but don't have one. The player can play movies, but I haven't had the chance to try it out yet. One thing that I felt could be improved upon was the battery life. I can only use it for about 2 and a half hours before it needs to be recharged. Other than that this is a good player with interesting features, it even has a text reader and FM radio. Despite its battery shortcomings, it charges readily on nearly anything. I charge it on my computer, in a wall socket at school or in my car cigarette lighter when I'm working. This sort of makes up for the aforementioned battery.

Got this for my 14 year old son. I have had Coby brand products before and have had gooed luck. This seemes to be a little better quality than their standard stuff. It is easy to use. It is NOT an iTouch or iPod, it is a touch screen, but the UI is not as easy as the iPod. I would buy one again especialy if you want a decent 8g player on a budget.

I tried to load an audio book onto this player, but it wouldn't load nor play the files in order. Also, I have no clue how to take a picture with the camera, as there is nothing that I have found that tells you how to. The touch screen isn't very sensitive and sometimes takes a few touches to get a response.

For what I paid, it is a good player. The sound is good. It will serve the purpose - if I had wanted something really great, I would have saved the money for an iPod or something like that. I knew I wouldn't get a top of the line product, but I am happy with the features that it does have. Overall, I am satisfied, even with the few gripes that I have.
