Macbook SSD excellent

I installed a Seagate Momentus 500Gb hybrid drive last year... it was very good.
BUT I have just upgraded to OSX Lion, and installed this new 256Gb Crucial SSD and its amazing. The machine runs even faster than ever. It's a FOUR year old Apple Macbook and it's way faster than my new work PC desktop.
It starts from bootup in 27 secs. It loads tricky progs like Final Cut Pro in under 30 secs.
Fantastic piece of kit.
I had read that older Macbooks have slower data transfer times, so won't really benefit from this kind of SSD...but this is not the case, it's noticably quicker.

I got this for 260USD Brand new on ebay. I felt so luck after buying it. I previously had a Intel 160GB G3 SSD and I felt it was not fast enough. After using the M4, I feel the PC is now much faster like 30%.
Definitely recommended. Hoping Crucial release a firmware very soon to boost the performance even further

) I have had this SSD installed for a couple of weeks. It runs smoothly, has increased access speeds on my MacBook Pro, and works great. Very nice upgrade if you want to get away from physical media drives.

This is a great performance improvement in obsolete notebook or desktop.
After clonning your old hard drive your notebook or desktop changes its performance to incredible levels.
Its a very good choice if you do not want to change your old pc.
All programs will work as before you change the HD but faster.
