Donkey Kong Jungle Beat (GameCube)
Created: 06/02/07
This is my second Jungle Beat I bought. The neighbor kid played ours and loved it. So he got one for his 8th birthday. This is a great game lots of fun for any age. I am not much of a game player but I sneak a game when I want a break when the kids are not around. I play till my hands and arms get tired. You really dont have to hit hard it is just fun. I have not played it with out bongos I dont know if it would be much fun.
It is rated T I have no idea why. There is punching but it is more like a boxing match between two animals at the end of a level. It is not a fighting game. You collect bananas as you run and jump and float through the worlds. I would rate it E.
It is too bad it is only single player. I also got Donkey Konga 2 for use with the bongos. It is multi player it is also fun. Good for a group and the only game I can consistently beat my 5 year old at so far.

Donkey Kong Jungle Beat w DK Bongos

This is a great game. Beat on the drums and the monkey runs left, right, or if you hit them both at the same time he jumps. Sometimes it requires that the player clap his/her hands and the donkey will clap on the screen (sort of power move). This game plays alot like Sonic Headgehog. They both run around and collect items (Sonic collects coins and DK collects bannanas). Allthough, this is very different from other games with the Bongo's but you can use a regular controller. I think this is a very fun game and a good game for children probably under the age of 13 or so.

Short game for Bongo lovers only.

I got a GC with the Bongos and Donkey Konga and loved it so much I wanted to get more bongo games, so I got Konga2 and Jungle Beat. Jungle Beat I purchased without looking much just because I wanted another bongo game.
It's an action game, not a rhythm game; a blast for the first hour or so, but I would expect that most can finish it in about three hours. Fairly unique at first, it gets old quick. It's also super easy, I didn't die while playing, but I did get bored fast.

for a gamecube game this had some of the best graphics avalible at its time. this game is a must for anyone with gc drums... it only has three controls left right and clap but even with just 3 controls you will find it a challenge to beat the game. After the game is cvompleted new levels will be unlocked with certain amounts of bananas that will test many on their skills while trying to become the jungle master

This game is AWESOME!!! I was a little skeptical about using the bongos for a controller but, it total works and makes the game way more interactive. the graphics are amazing for a GameCube game. I bought it to play with my 4 year old who still has a hard time adapting to controllers but he picked it right up. If you like the Donkey Kong series and have a GameCube or a Wii you need to add this to you collection NOW!!! The bongos themselves may be the only hard part to get. You will not be disappointed if want an interactive game with a familiar face.
