Dyson DC14 All floors Upright Cleaner

what do i like? very simple the power of suction. point blank it is great. just put a new rug down in my mothers house. needed a new vacuum that could do the job with all the tools for cleaning behind furniture,etc. well using the dyson the first time i couldnt believe how much dirt it picked up from the rug and bare floors! the wand extends like crazy and the weight which is around 18pds doesnt feel too heavy but you know you have a quality machine here. i suggest you buy the dyson dc 14. its great no bags excellent quality and the suction is out of this world.

I finally got a Dyson after years of hearing friends swear by it. The first time I used it, I couldn't believe the amount of dirt/dust it picked up. Any vacuum will pick up the larger stuff like crumbs and hair. I was surprised how much of the really fine dirt was present in the carpet.

The only real flaw I see is you cannot adjust the height for different types of carpet. For example you cannot use it on shag carpet. It gets caught and the safety mechanism kicks in so you don't jam it.

Dyson vacuums are those things in life where if you never own one, you're not missing out. But if you do own one, you can't live without it.

Pros: Quieter than your average vacuum, washable HEPA filter, power, includes different attachments

Cons: Price, non-adjustable height for different carpets

I AM SO HAPPY WITH IS NEW DYSON VACUUM CLEANER. I WILL BE BUYING MORE DYSON PRODUCTS. THERE IS NOT TO MANY CON'S ABOUT THIS PRODUCT, THE ONLY THING I WISH IT HAD WAS RECTRACTABLE POWER CORD, BESIDE THAT IS AM HAPPY WITH THE QUAILTY OF THE DYDSON DC14. I've had my eye on a Dyson for a long time since I have a house full of dogs (my own, plus fosters and boarders); but the high price has held me back from buying one, since I have had an Oreck for a while. But when I saw the Dyson for a great price on eBay's Daily Deal, I decided to go for it.
It is everything I've heard and more as far as performance goes. It is SO easy to empty the dust canister and grab the extension wand to do stairs, window sills, etc; the cord is so long I can practically use it downstairs while it's plugged in upstairs. I just wish I'd held out for the 'ball' model, which would be much more maneuverable around furniture, as Mr. Dyson demonstrates in his current TV commercials. But for this price (probably $200 less), I can manage without it for now. I thought I loved my Oreck, but this Dyson is vacuum heaven!

First day using the vacuum it rocked right out of the box. Anything I threw at it was gobbled up. Great suction, easy to push and the telescopic handle works great on the stairs. Fairly lightweight. For a vacuum of this caliber it does seem somewhat cheap with its plastic frame. I guess that's what keeps the weight down. I would recommend this to anyone. This model does all types of floors and did great going from my carpet to vinyl to hardwoods. The standard attachments work well with the vacuum and have great attachment storage areas. I had just vacuumed with my old Kenomore and then did the carpets with the Dyson.......WOW!!! It picked up so much left over stuff my wife and I couldn't believe it. I feel better about my kids playing on the carpet more than ever. There is suction right to the very edge of the vacuum head. It picks up dirt along the edges beautifully.
