Movie synopsis
Released on DVD in 2011 and directed by Daniel Alfredson, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest is the third installment of the Millennium Series that was written by Swedish author Stieg Larsson. This drama on DVD follows the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo as well as The Girl Who Played with Fire. As with the other installments, the central characters in THe Girl WHo Kicked the Hornet's Nest are played by Noomi Rapace, Michael Nyqvist, and Lena Endre. The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest opens with Lisbeth (played by Rapace) lying in the hospital and awaiting trial for the triple murder of which she has been accused. Mikael (played by Nyqvist) has been working feverishly to clear her name, but the judge on the case must still be convinced. The process could move along more quickly, but Lisbeth is not talking or sharing information that could be helpful to her case and Mikael must find out why. This drama on DVD has a total run time of 147 minutes and is rated R for adult language and violence.

) Not only where these books well written, the movie was very well casted and acted. The thing I liked most was the movie followed the story in the books. I don't often purchase movies that were made from the book, but in this case, I purchased all three of these well-made movies.

This DVD is the movie version of the third book in a series of three, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is first, then The Girl Who Played With Fire is second. The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets Nest is third in the series. The books are more detailed and more exciting to read, but if you are not inclined to read, the movies give you the general idea. See the movies and read the books if you can.

Amazing Movie! Very close to book. Can't wait until American versions come out. Action scenes were amazing. Lisbeth doesn't ever compromise on her attitude. She is what she is and doesn't care if you judge her. She is in your face.

This item was in great condition and played properly as advertised. this final installment of the millenium series. it held up to my expectations and i was very happy with it. fans of crime dramas aimed at adults would enjoy this series immensly and dont be thrown off by the dubbing, it is well done and once you start watching you get so caught up in the action that you forget about the film even being dubbed at all and you start expieriencing everything the characters do.
