Though the Japanese armed forces believe that they killed Godzilla fifty years ago, they are proven wrong when the giant green beast destroys a U.S. submarine and causes other similar, tragic events. Godzilla finally appears, prompting a powerful old Japanese mystic to summon the Holy Beasts of Yamato--King Ghidorah, Mothra, and Baragon, a trio that protected Japan in ancient times.
